Harvey Nichols Hub

Last week, to celebrate the newly revamped Harvey Nichols 4th Floor, we designed a travelling pop-up shop.

A travelling pair of shipping containers to be more precise. Popping up in Hanover Square, The Southbank, Westbourne Grove and Spitalfields over four days.
On day one in Hanover Square the sun shone brilliantly , thousands of mirrored balloons shimmered in the sunlight , Sam Ronson DJ’d and Bistrotheque had their own hub from which they served delicious picnic fare. It felt like a mini festival heralding the beginning of Summer.

Inside the hub to showcase Harvey Nichols 4th floor merchandise we had a bespoke Harvey Nichols Vending machine , A Sneaker wall, A lucky crane and a plethora of other visual delights.

It was such fun to do. We miss the Harvey Nichols Hub and we want to go travelling around the world in it like a Modern Gypsy retail tribe…

Will Broome’s illustrations were emblazoned on the outside of the hub. We love his work.

Elle Style Awards – Paper Cuts

ELLE---thing-called-love

Paper artistry has been something we have been interested in for some time. There is something so intriguing about a material that can be so fragile but still so utilitarian. We have wanted to incorporate recycled paper into an event for ages, but it had to be the right event. When we were approached to design the Elle Style Awards we immediately thought of the physicality of the magazine itself…lot’s of beautiful images on paper. What could be more delightful than using the pages of ELLE to create new beautiful forms. A very fashionable excercise in upcycling.

By using the actual physical magazine covers, shoots and articles we knew we had the means to add an authentic element of glamour and fashion. Bringing it back to the pages and the magazine but in a refreshing playful way. We decided to use the magazine in every aspect of the design from making delicate peacocks, moths and beetles as table adornments to a chandelier from thousands of covers to crazy montages that decorated the bars (and every conceivable surface). Paper dreams indeed.
