And onto the Harvey Nichols Autumn/Winter 10 press day. We used Sheds. Simple garden sheds painted black and fluoro and accessorized with our favourite Cage lights from the fabulous Stanley at the Historic Lighting Company.

The lovely Sarah Jane having some shed time.

The Beauty Shed, everyone needs one.

The Lingerie Shed. Okay we could use one of these too…..

Shipping Pallets for the Jewellery displays.

And feeding our desire for all things sweet and utterly delicious: Cake Pops. We needed some cupcake relief .
We really did. Dare we say we it? We ……. are……over……cupcakes.
In the meantime, we found these, we like eating leopardskin and they taste gorgeous . Thanks Clare! www.popbakery.co.uk

Last week, to celebrate the newly revamped Harvey Nichols 4th Floor, we designed a travelling pop-up shop.
A travelling pair of shipping containers to be more precise. Popping up in Hanover Square, The Southbank, Westbourne Grove and Spitalfields over four days.
On day one in Hanover Square the sun shone brilliantly , thousands of mirrored balloons shimmered in the sunlight , Sam Ronson DJ’d and Bistrotheque had their own hub from which they served delicious picnic fare. It felt like a mini festival heralding the beginning of Summer.
Inside the hub to showcase Harvey Nichols 4th floor merchandise we had a bespoke Harvey Nichols Vending machine , A Sneaker wall, A lucky crane and a plethora of other visual delights.
It was such fun to do. We miss the Harvey Nichols Hub and we want to go travelling around the world in it like a Modern Gypsy retail tribe…

Will Broome’s illustrations were emblazoned on the outside of the hub. We love his work.

A Giant Tyrannosaurus perched on the Hub……. Why not?

We kind of love putting everything under a belljar right now

The Infamous Harvey Nichols Vending Machine. Vending Machines are our new obsession.

The Lucky crane with a sparkly Marcus Lupfer Bear as the main bait

We got more than a little excited by the photobooth. This is 1 in a series of 50

Paper artistry has been something we have been interested in for some time. There is something so intriguing about a material that can be so fragile but still so utilitarian. We have wanted to incorporate recycled paper into an event for ages, but it had to be the right event. When we were approached to design the
Elle Style Awards we immediately thought of the physicality of the magazine itself…lot’s of beautiful images on paper. What could be more delightful than using the pages of ELLE to create new beautiful forms. A very fashionable excercise in upcycling.
By using the actual physical magazine covers, shoots and articles we knew we had the means to add an authentic element of glamour and fashion. Bringing it back to the pages and the magazine but in a refreshing playful way. We decided to use the magazine in every aspect of the design from making delicate peacocks, moths and beetles as table adornments to a chandelier from thousands of covers to crazy montages that decorated the bars (and every conceivable surface). Paper dreams indeed.

We started the new year with one of our favourite weddings ever. Held in a charming St James Street townhouse, it was a beautiful wedding for a wonderful couple, Kate and Julian. It gave us the chance to explore some of our new obsessions and some old favorites…

We LOVE Magnifying Glasses, they accent the smallest details in the most wonderful way

Butterflies, Bell Jars and Trophies.

Still loving balloons.... still loving neon... Can you tell?
